Jon Burleigh, Chair, Gordonstoun Highland Games, Moray

JON BURLEIGH, CHAIR,
GORDONSTOUN HIGHLAND GAMES

This is a new volunteer post for me after taking over from Kenny Stewarts awesome efforts in this role over the last 5 years. I have a great team working with me and we are all determined to make each games a success and to build on the previous years efforts. I work in Search & Rescue in the local area. I spend my spare time riding bikes, camping and exploring Scotland, and messing about on the water in kayaks and paddle boards with my family and our dog ‘Buddy’.

CATH LYALL,
HEAD OF PREP SCHOOL

Cath Lyall is Head of Gordonstoun Prep School and provides a link between the school and Highland Games Committee. Cath worked in Glasgow for twelve years before moving to Gordonstoun in 2006 when her husband, who is an OG, became a Duffus Houseparent. She spent time getting to know the local area and looking after their young family while teaching in local schools in Moray for several years before moving to Gordonstoun Prep School. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her children, who also attend Gordonstoun, travelling and paddle boarding in the Moray Firth.
